About MEYCO
MEYCO Global Underground Construction, as part of BASF Construction Chemicals, benefits from outstanding synergies. MEYCO believe that with our know-how, comprehensive range of products and machines together with BASF products we have the solutions to serve and benefit our customers. We are also dedicated to innovation and the development of the standards of technology.
After over 50 years of involvement in underground construction MEYCO knows that major cost reduction potential lies in efficiency. Rather than looking to sell individual products, MEYCO’s multi-national team of engineers use their combined know-how and experience to evaluate the complete situation on site. The goals lie in the material performance maximization, shortening installation times, simplifying application and enabling accurate quality management. These areas provide our customers with real advantages by optimizing overall underground construction processes, in order to enhance their competitiveness.
MEYCO Global Underground Construction
Our local MEYCO representatives around the globe are supported by a specialist international team that can be with the customer wherever and whenever needed: these are our expert “flying engineers” providing technical support, training, site set-up or problem solving. Close cooperation between MEYCO technical site support teams and MEYCO International Development Center ensures efficient and tailor-made product development.
Our MEYCO International Development Center based in Zurich, Switzerland, through its ever active involvement in tunneling and mining projects is constantly developing new products and innovative processes to meet specific challenges in the field of underground construction.
We have a team of scientists based in Zuerich together with established long-term relationships with leading universities and we are an integral part of the powerful BASF R&D community. So we can assure the following key assets: state-of-the-art testing and investigation equipment as well as unique tools developed in-house; expertise in cement chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry, material science, engineering, geology, surface science, concrete technology; ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications (in 2005), which guide quality and environmental oriented development processes.
MEYCO Equipment
In 1957 MEYCO Equipment invented the first «gunite» machine operating according to the rotor principle – the MEYCO ® GM and later the MEYCO ® Piccola. Since then MEYCO Equipment has continued this tradition of innovation and successfully launched further new developments and technologies, leading to a worldwide presence and strong market position. Nowadays the focus of equipment design and construction is the optimization of application of all sprayable products used in the tunneling and mining sectors. Based in Winterthur, Switzerland, and benefiting from extensive manufacturing, research and development resources, MEYCO Equipment is certified to the highest current industrial and environmental standards. This is, of course, reflected in the products and service.
“Through continued innovation and commitment MEYCO’s customers become more successful and quite literally do extend physical horizons. MEYCO’s Solutions achieve durable new space underground more efficiently”
