OverviewThe MEYCO Cobra is an electro-hydraulically driven, compact mobile unit for the spraying of concrete. It is a complete system and has been specially constructed for the mining industry. The 3 main components are, MEYCO Suprema concrete spraying machine, the MEYCO Minima spraying manipulator and a 4 x 4 articulated PAUS chassis. As befits equipment for the mining industry the whole unit is very robust and yet it still retains the features to ensure quality shotcrete that our customers have come to expect from a MEYCO machine. CharacteristicsThe components are mounted on an extremely strong PAUS Universa 50 articulated chassis. The articulation and the overall dimensions of the complete vehicle make it ideal for the tight tunnels that are found in most mines. The MEYCO Minima is a spraying manipulator that has been developed purely with small profile tunnels in mind. It can be packed away very compactly and can be extended easily without needing additional room. The spraying head, whilst being a standard MEYCO Robojet component with it's 3 fields of movement, is fitted on the Minima as a "fold-back" unit, thus reducing the vehicle length whilst tramming. The Minima has proved so successful that it has been used for mounting on many other types of vehicle. The concrete spraying machine is the MEYCO Suprema with integrated dosing unit. All other components including the integrated compressor are integrated into the vehicle and all are driven from a central electro-hydraulic power unit. ApplicationsHaving all necessary components on one chassis and the ability to get to all parts of a mine greatly increase the efficiency of not only the shotcrete operation but the mine as a whole. Within the tight working schedules of today's mines it is imperative that the spraying set-up is installed and ready to start performing within minutes. As soon as the spraying operation is finished, the equipment has to be removed so that the next work cycle can begin immediately. Furthermore, it is a common trend to execute the shotcrete operations on several faces simultaneously, for which the MEYCO Cobra is ideal with it's manoeuvrability. Self-contained equipment like the MEYCO Cobra with it's integrated compressor is essential where the central air supply is insufficient to supply all demands. The MEYCO Cobra is of course perfect for use anywhere, not just in mines, where large quantities of wet shotcrete are to be applied in the fastest and most efficient manner possible, providing of course, the profile is suitable for the manipulator range.
