Overview

MEYCO Poca, possibly the most compact mobile unit for the professional spraying of concrete on the market. The MEYCO Poca has been designed after direct consultation with the customers who will use it daily under extreme conditions.

Special attention has been paid to achieve a vehicle concept, combining the central demands of mobility around a tunnel complex, serious application capability and incorporating simple MEYCO technology. The system is either entirely diesel driven, independent of outside power sources or electrically driven for spraying operations. The 3 main components are MEYCO Simpla concrete pump, MEYCO Rama 6 manipulator and a 4WS, 4WD Dieci chassis.

Features

Spraying manipulator MEYCO Rama 6

  • Packs away neatly over the carrier for tramming.
  • All extensions protected with robust steel covers with extensive guide bushing to ensure smooth operation.
  • MEYCO spraying head – same as MEYCO Potenza.
  • Turntable strengthened for rigours of concrete spraying with 65 or 80 mm hoses.
  • Lubrication nipples for joints and cylinders distributed over manipulator.
  • Refined after many years of production and spraying experience.

Wet-spraying machine MEYCO Simpla

  • Double piston pump.
  • Self-sealing S-tube, rapid change-over with reservoir and auxiliary pump, superhard sealing ring and plate.
  • Rigid rectangular pipe hopper rim for and protection over outlet and gears. Grill with offset bars for steel fibres.
  • Tried and tested MEYCO flat-pack flatpack (sold many hundreds of times.
  • Two independent oil pressure circuits. Automatic stopping of conveying system if blocked.
  • Simple volume adjustment through variable valve control wheel.
  • Central lubrication block mounted next to hopper.

Operation and Controls

  • Remote control with 15 m light cable has all main functions for full control of spraying operation, including pumping, dosing, air, manipulator movements, (radio as option).
  • Display shows concrete volume m3/h, dosing %age.
  • Input of cement content, desired dosing %age, spec. weight accelerator.
  • Dosing %age held constant at all pumping volumes.

Dosing system

  • Robust and reliable peristaltic type pump made of steel and rubber to prevent corrosion through AF accelerators.
  • Tank custom made in stainless steel and mounted for optimum use of space. Wide filling opening with special secure fastening on cap.
  • Stiff 1 “ supply hose to prevent suction problems.

MEYCO nozzle system 65 or 80 mm

  • Top quality concrete hoses with swaged ferrules
  • High pressure – 85 bar  working pressure with 2.5 times safety margin
  • Top quality chemical hoses.
  • Large diameter double inlet hoses on nozzle injector to allow necessary volume of air to be used .
  • Nozzle system developed over 30 years of experience and research around the world.
  • Hand operated release oil pump for protection against concrete residue.

Power-pack

  • Electro-hydraulic power pack mounted high on chassis for better cooling
  • HP hydraulic pump unit mounted inline for efficiency.
  • Hydraulic unit using tried and tested components.
  • 190 litre hydraulic tank shaped for best use of space

Electrics

  • All electric components are labelled for easy identification in the circuit diagram.
  • Working lights 4 x 500W mounted on manipulator for direct lighting of spraying area, plus 2 x 500W lights for concrete pump and motor.
  • All lights protected by steel bars or mesh.
  • Cable reel for 50 metre depending on diameter.

Carrier vehicle

  • Chassis type Dieci with Perkins 1104D-44T turbo water-cooled diesel engine 100hp/74 kW at 2300 rpm with hydrostatic drive and hydraulic steering– same as MEYCO Potenza.
  • 4 WD and 4 WS, plus crab steering, self-blocking front axles, 18” wheels for difficult ground conditions.
  • Heavy duty thick sheet construction, protection around sensitive or protruding parts.
  • Tramming lights mounted in steel housing including 2 x H4 halogens.
  • ROPS, FOPS cabin, soundproof with ventilation and heating.

Applications

The MEYCO Poca is constructed for the mechanical application of wet-sprayed concrete. The MEYCO  Poca’s special strengths and added value are in its driving size which allows it to go where larger units cannot, in mines, cross passages, anywhere where there are restricted profiles and winding drifts. The powerful chassis with large heavy profile tyres lends a mobility not normally found in a machine of this size allowing excellent manoeuvrability on the steepest slopes and difficult ground conditions. Importantly the MEYCOÒ Poca fits perfectly into the strict working cycles of today's sites as it can be installed and ready perform within minutes of arrival at the face.
