MEYCO Oruga 

Overview

The MEYCO Oruga is a mobile spraying manipulator unit for mechanising and automating the application of shotcrete. It is suitable for both wet and dry methods. The MEYCO Oruga increases output to an extent impossible with manual spraying and safety standards for the nozzle-man are vastly improved.
 

Characteristics

This spraying manipulator for wet or dry spraying is mounted on a very agile carrier vehicle, so that it can operate in the tightest possible tunnel profiles. To move the the equipment the 14 kW diesel motor is used. Each track has it's own separate hydrostatic drive enable the vehicle to "spin around" on it's axis for the greatest possible mobility! The spraying work is carried out by the spraying manipulator, powered by a 7.5 kW electro-hydraulic drive unit. It is solidly constructed and tough rebound protection is also fitted to reduce damage and maintenance. The operator can sit whilst driving or operating and a remote control with cable controls all manipulator functions. Outriggers are also fitted for the necessary stability during spraying. Spraying head with nozzle mounting incl. anti-kink for dia. 80 mm. or dia. 65 mm delivery hoses are fitted as standard.  

Applications

The MEYCO Oruga can be used in virtually all types of wet or dry shotcrete application. Either out in the open for slope protection or in tunnelling where the profile dictates that a smaller manipulator is necessary. Wherever the tunnel advance is dangerous then a manipulator should also be used. Although compact, it 's strength and reach gives it a real adavantage over hand spraying.
