MEYCO Roadrunner 

Overview

The MEYCO Roadrunner is a mobile unit for the spraying of wet concrete, but unlike the other systems in our range of equipment the MEYCO Roadrunner is roadworthy. This means total mobility: mobility from one portal to another or to the next site or even the next country, distance is unimportant. The MEYCO Roadrunner is, in all senses of the word, independent. It is completely self contained with all components necessary for quality shotcreting and even after driving huge distances it can be prepared for spraying within minutes!   

Characteristics

The set-up to form the complete mobile is as follows:

All components listed are mounted on the truck chassis, and they can be driven using the electric power source that exists on site using the cable connection or, if no power source is available, then the MEYCO Roadrunner can use it's own Power Take Off facility driven by the truck diesel motor. The MEYCO Maxima is a specially developed manipulator which has the range advantage of a large spraying manipulator such as the MEYCO Robojet but is also designed so that it can be unfolded in a relatively small tunnel profile. The MEYCO Suprema has all the features and overall advantages that our customers have come to expect of the standard machine. But physically it is mounted on the chassis in it's split form with the flat-pack in front of the cabin and the power and controls integrated into the centrally located drive unit. MEYCO Roadrunner has 2 storage tanks with a total volume of 2000 litres. This enables it to be prepared for an extended spraying session and even cold weather won't hinder operations as they can be insulated and warmed as an option.   

Applications

The MEYCO Roadrunner can be used as a normal MEYCO spraying mobile on large construction sites such as tunnels, or construction pits where large amounts of wet shotcrete have to be applied. It is of course important that the spraying set-up is installed and ready to start performing within minutes and just as quickly be removed. This is taken for granted with this equipment. Where the the Roadrunner has it's largest advantage is where several portals or drives have to be sprayed almost simultaneously. These different points of application are often connected by normal roads and can be far apart which obviously for a MEYCO Roadrunner is absolutely no problem. To be added is that a MEYCO Roadrunner can service more than one site in a particular region and as soon as one job is finished can move on to the next without the need for the external transport logistics necessary for normal site equipment. Also, often sites do not have enough power for a complete mobile and compressor or else the infrastructure is at an early stage and power is at a premium. The MEYCO Roadrunner with it's complete independence is above these problems.
