MEYCO Roadrunner mining in Sweden
The MEYCO Roadrunner is a mobile unit for spraying concrete, but unlike the other systems in our range it is roadworthy. It is actually a vehicle for driving great distances on the surface of the planet, but this particular one is going to be driving great distances underground, almost permanently.

The customer LKAB have pinpointed the iron-ore mine at Malmberget as the perfect place for a Roadrunner. With its large profiles and over 300 km of asphalted road tunnels which can be covered at up to 50 km an hour, a further 300 km of unpaved road, multiple headings to be sprayed, one can only confirm that the customer is right!
The Roadrunner left the MEYCO factory on a Tuesday morning on its way up north to Sweden. On the map you see the route of over 2900 km and then a photo of the so-called Captain’s Pit at the huge mining installation at Malmberget.

The vehicle has not only all the standard accessories fitted to all Roadrunners but also some special customer requests such as 150 m high pressure water hose on retractable hydraulic reel to enable use of the nearest water mains points for fast cleaning. The concrete pump mounted at the front is lowerable for easy filling from the truck mixer. Together with some other exclusive details this Roadrunner is maybe the “Rolls Royce” of spraying mobiles. Seems a shame to take it underground!
